Nepenthes Ampullariaby ~darks

Geez I love this pitcher plant, it's one of my fav. Though I don't even own this kind of Nepenthes ;__;
Used a reference photo and graphic tablet.

The layout is beautiful, it looks like a magazine advertizement for fine wine.

You should lowercase ampullaria, otherwise good work!

I've got only those beginner neps, like ventricosa x alata, singalana and some unknown neps. I'd like to have more, but I don't have the space for them (got too many plants already)

Thats cool, I have never seen a singalana, I keep a whole bunch, if you're tight for space I recommend khasiana. It gets big but it starts pretty small and wont grow all that fast, I got mine for $15, already had three basals seperated from it and it never stopped pitchering, never missed a beat!. I had always heard ventricosa were the easiest to grow but my khasiana has been far more successful and I have a number of vent and vent hybrids.

Do you spend much time on nep forums?

yeah, ventricosa is a beginner plant, you can even get it in hardwarestores (those which have these small nursery), at least here in germany

Singalana is also a rather slow growing nep. That's actually pretty nice, so it can stay abit longer in the terrarium ^^ My biggest plant is a ventricosa x alta, I think it's over 1,50 meter high.
I used to read a lot in a german forum for carnivorous plants. Sometimes I do read about nep problems which other people have. You can always learn from it.

Do you have many neps or even other carnivorous plants?

Yeah I have a bunch of neps...ventrata, ventricosa, truncata, khasiana, inermis x bongso, vent. x maxima and maxima x vent. I got a heap to start with and then the bloody things started making basal shoots, so I ended up with about four of everything, except the inermis x bongso which I havent had for long.

I keep a few saraccenia, about ten flytraps, I had a sundew but I think it finally died this winter as it hasent come back yet! Do you keep other carnivorous plants too?

I used to have flytraps, but it died in the winter. So right now, I only have my neps and a pinguicula. We don't have a garden nor a balcony, so I can't keep flytraps and such (guess it isn't really good if they stay inside all the time). But when I'm going to move (someday), I'm going to get me flytraps again. I'd also like to have a cephalotus, but I've heard they're not easy to handle.

I also love nepenthes ampullaria and bicalcarata, gotta get me some of them someday

Ah, I am lucky I have quite a big backyard, the flytraps and sarra all do really well. Cephs are really great looking plants, Ive heard mixed reports, some say they are easy and others say they are hard...worth a shot though I think. Neps are pretty bad sometimes, even the easier species. I think if you are gunna tackle a bicalcarata you should be fine with looking after a ceph, theyre meant to be bastards to grow arent they? Amazing plants though, so are amps. Im looking at getting a fusca and a veitchii next I think, I have a little more room to fill. Moving out of home was the best plan ever! ha ha, I got to choose where I lived and make sure it had enough room, though now I have my girlfriend and my flatmates trying to get rid of them, he he he
